POSITION SUMMARY:
The Copy Director is responsible for crafting the brand voice and messaging for both True & Co & Warners brands. This role is key in developing a consistent voice that will be carried throughout all business channels including website, emails, paid and organic social, POS, digital ads and marketing materials such as product naming and seasonal concepting. Working across multiple touch points, the Copy Director generates and contributes content focused on engaging customers and building brand awareness to ultimately drive sales.
The copywriter works closely with the brand, merchandising and marketing teams at all levels to develop on brand copy and concepts that can be messaged across the business. The copywriter is expected to actively contribute to the development of original solutions and create final deliverables whether working solo or within the greater team.

Hires, oversees, and manages freelance copywriters as needed
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACTS:
Internal:
Senior Executives, Project Managers, Creative Leads, Art Directors and Designers, Merchandising, Marketing, and Product Designers.
External:
Creative/Marketing, PR, and Social media agencies, influencers, talent/models.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and maintain budget as it relates to freelance copywriters.
DECISION MAKING:
Responsible for determining brand appropriate copy and making recommendations to support the tone of voice for all consumer facing communications.
RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY:
ENVIRONMENT:
Fast paced environment. Occasional late hours and weekend work could be required depending on seasonal concepts and specific project needs.

Experience:
Education: BA in English, journalism, communications or a related field
