The Western Michigan University Department of Special Education and Literacy Studies invites applications for two tenure-track assistant
professors, one in Special Education: Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities and the other in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
(TESOL).
The WMU Special Education Program and TESOL program faculty are collaborative, reflective, committed to equity and inclusion,
and dedicated to continuous program evaluation and improvement. We offer degrees in special education and TESOL at the baccalaureate,
master’s, and doctoral levels. To create an intellectual community that conducts research that addresses social problems, we are seeking
candidates who are experts in their discipline and have a commitment to racial justice and equity.
Position 1: Assistant
