*Job Summary*
This role is pivotal in our Divisional Headquarters Human Resources department in that it encompasses the ability to enlighten, inform and coach divisional department heads and field leadership and HR liaisons in not only attracting but also cultivating talent once obtained. The Divisional Recruitment Coordinator assists the Divisional Human Resource Director in the day to day operations that manages, coordinates, administers and evaluates the recruitment and selection functions for the NSC Division; assists the Divisional Headquarters department heads and local officers with the employee recruitment process; researches, develops, and proposes recruitment strategies as well as recommends improvements to current systems; implements and evaluates the efficiency of approved recruitment methods; develops and maintains the electronic recruiting and hiring process which includes full desk recruiting which includes approved outreach resources in order to provide applicant recommendations for positions which match qualifications and AAP guidelines where applicable. Serves as a technical resource to the division with regard to recruitment functions including background checks; prepares and maintains Affirmative Action Program records, logs and files in accordance with policy.
*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*
Knowledge of the general practices and procedures of human resource management specifically related to recruitment. Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity programs. Knowledge of HIPPA guidelines and practices. Knowledge of Affirmative Action Program guidelines and practices. Ability to learn and maintain a current knowledge of the E-Verify procedures required for the Southern Territory. Ability to communicate information and ideas to field Human Resources staff. Ability to train field Human Resources staff and other employees throughout the division. Ability to provide instruction to other individuals in a manner that makes it easy for them to comprehend. Ability to read and comprehend policy in regard to areas of responsibility. Ability to learn and become proficient in specific computer software utilized by the department. Ability to maintain the confidential nature of personnel, specifically compensation related information. Ability to sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically. Ability to operate various general office equipment including a telephone, computer, facsimile machine and other general office equipment. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing as well in public presentations/training sessions. Ability to serve as a resource and counsel supervisors and department heads related to topics that affect employee recruitment, retention and morale. Ability to research and stay abreast of current legislation in order to advise divisional management as well as other field HR staff of changes impacting The Salvation Army. Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
*Education and Experience*
Bachelor_’_sdegree from an accredited college or university in business administration, human resources or other related field, and two years progressively responsible experience in recruiting and human resources *OR* any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

*Physical Requirements/Working Conditions*
Ability to lift 30 lbs. on a limited basis (5% of the time); ability to perform record filing requirements which would include bending/stooping/raising arms over head. Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to operate and answer a telephone. Work is usually performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like, but may be performed periodically in disaster service areas and camp settings.
