Description
The Department of Curriculum and Instruction
is hiring an assistant professor of practice and director of the Year-Long Teacher Residency Program. This position will be
headquartered at the San Marcos campus but will work primarily in local school districts. This position is 50% FTE leading and coordinating
the Residency program and 50% FTE teaching in the Residency. The term for Residency director is five years,
renewable.
Primary duties related to the Residency position will be to lead and support all aspects of the yearlong
residency program. These include, but are not limited to the following:
This is a 100% FTE 9-month appointment, with an additional summer stipend to prepare for the upcoming year. For
these duties, the position reports to the Curriculum and Instruction department chair. All positions are subject to availability of
funds.
