Job Description
A leading company in the machinery industry is currently seeking a Director of Human Resources to join their team. The role will be challenging but also highly rewarding and this leader will be a key voice in the company. For the right executive, this is a fantastic opportunity with great growth prospects. Key duties include:
1) Identify areas of process improvement and make recommendations to scale and simplify work with centers of excellence and staffing companies
2) Take a proactive approach to partner with business groups to anticipate, assess and provide HR solutions in relation to business needs
3) Provide timely and effective advice on HR-related matters to employees and managers
4) Lead the talent acquisition piece including corporate recruitment and management of staffing agencies
5) Provide input on and partner with line managers to facilitate functional onboarding for new employees
6) Implement various aspects of the HR and business priorities set by the Leadership Team
7) Contribute to the development of the commercial WorkForce plan to ensure that hiring planning meets the needs of the growing business
8) Support efforts around increasing employee and manager engagement
9) Coach functional management to increase people manager acumen and accountability
10) Act as an employee champion and identify trends to help inform and support management to build an effective culture
11) Contribute to the design and delivery of HR-related communications
12) Ensure an understanding of the messages and adherence to changes
13) Support the development and implementation of talent management initiatives and programs
14) Prepare ROI justification for training initiatives and articulate the value to the management
15) Provide performance management advice and counsel to employees and managers
16) Serve as consultant to employees and managers on a variety of issues such as training needs, performance management, policy interpretations, career development and other issues impacting productivity or morale
17) Identify opportunities to reduce employee relation issues overall
18) Conduct thorough and confidential investigations in response to formal complaints
19) Provide input into the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies and procedures and their dissemination through various employee communications
20) Work with HR Operations to advise managers and employees on a wide array of benefits and compensation-related matters
21) partner with leadership and HR Operations to build effective sales incentives
22) Create best practice processes, reference material, and tools for the team to share workflows
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the machinery industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in human resources management
