What you will do: The Assistant Director Campaign Strategy will develop and implement data-driven demand generation strategies to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth. Using your expertise in omni-channel marketing strategy development and oversight, you will play an important role in growing Northwestern Mutual’s market presence and driving qualified leads for our financial advisors. We are looking for a collaborative team member to partner with the broader marketing, PR and enterprise teams in developing innovative approaches for select go-to-market audience segments driving impact within a B2B2C distribution model. Director-Acquisition Marketing/New Client Growth will report to the Senior Director New Client Growth/Campaigns. How you will do it: Campaign Strategy: Serve as the audience campaign lead in developing strategies to improve the acquisition and engagement of new Northwestern Mutual Clients for a specific go-to-market audience group.
Campaign Planning: Liaise with marketing leaders to understand business goals, develop campaign strategies and execution plans, playing an active role aligning cross-functional partners to those plans and educating them on our goals. Campaign Delivery: Work hand-in-hand with Digital Marketing, Field Marketing, Client Marketing and Marketing Effectiveness to align on the campaign activation plan and calendar across all verticals. Budget Management: Lead audience-level budgets ensuring policyowners dollars are levered efficiently and optimally to deliver on business goals and outcomes; including but not limited to brand awareness, traffic driving, email acquisition, qualified suspect generation, leads, new clients and enterprise sales. Campaign Performance: Partner with internal analytics teams to track campaign performance, derive insights, and communicate recommendations to partners. Marketing Experience and Automation: Identify business requirements and needs across partner teams to enable marketing campaigns at scale. Distribution Models: Develop comprehensive audience campaigns across corporate and financial advisor (field)-lead teams that resonate and deliver strong results across a B2B2C distribution model.
Data and Insights: Leverage GTM plans and consumer insights in development of segment campaign plans Partner with omni-channel partners in development of activation plans tied to campaign strategies including paid and organic media, digital marketing, partner marketing, on-site activation, PR and more. Team Leadership: Lead via dotted line or directly campaign managers completing campaigns tied to audience segments. Bring your best! What this role needs: Proven experience (10+ years) in demand generation and omni-channel campaign strategy, preferably in the professional services industry including finance. Strong understanding of full-funnel marketing strategies and demand generation tactics and standard methodologies, including paid search, social media advertising, email marketing, and content syndication. Data-driven approach with the ability to analyze campaign data and metrics to make informed decisions and optimize marketing efforts. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and lead multiple initiatives. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and create engaging content. Collaborative teammate who can work effectively across cross-functional teams.
