As an Engineering/Estimator (Signage Cost Specialist), you will play a key role in our company by accurately estimating costs for custom signage projects, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will be essential in evaluating project requirements and developing precise estimates. Responsibilities
- Evaluate project specifications, plans, and blueprints to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs
- Collaborate with sales, design, and production teams to understand project requirements and propose cost-effective solutions
- Prepare detailed project estimates using specialized software and tools
- Conduct research and gather data to support accurate estimations
- Identify and document potential risks and opportunities to optimize project execution
- Review and analyze supplier quotes and negotiate pricing agreements
- Continuously improve estimating processes and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field
- Proven experience as an estimator in the signage industry
- Expertise in using specialized software for estimating projects (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD)
- Strong technical knowledge of signage materials, manufacturing processes, and installation techniques
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
