Job Summary:
The Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track position as an Assistant or Associate Professor in Curriculum and Instruction Teacher Education beginning Fall 2024.
Essential Duties:
This position has a priority focus on the practices and scholarship of teacher education. Successful candidates will 1) cultivate and maintain a successful program of research and scholarship; 2) teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in both traditional and online formats; 3) actively seek external funding opportunities commensurate with rank; and 4) engage in service to the department, university, community, and professional organizations. Candidates may possess an affiliation with a variety of disciplines (ESL, STEM, literacy, special education, etc.) and will also have a demonstrated and ongoing commitment to serving culturally and linguistically diverse students.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with teacher education experience, an established track record of grant writing with experiences as a principal investigator or co-investigator, teaching certification, a record of securing external funding for research and/or program growth and expansion, and a documented history of collaboration with PK-12 school partners.
