Position Description:
The University of Northern Iowa’s Department of Educational Psychology, Foundations & Leadership Studies seeks applicants for an Adjunct Instructor, starting in August 2023, to teach one or more of the following courses: Classroom Assessment; Dynamics of Human Development; and/or Learning & Motivation. Classroom Assessment is a two-credit course and Learning & Motivation is a three-credit course and both are taught to undergraduate pre-service teacher education majors. Dynamics of Human Development is a three-credit course taught to pre-service teachers in addition to other UNI undergraduate students.
Responsibilities include providing instruction; supporting student learning; timely grading of assignments; and working with the team leaders who coordinate these multi-section courses. Adjunct Instructors will be asked to teach 1 to 4 courses on a semester by semester basis. Courses are face-to-face on the UNI campus and/or online and can be taught remotely. Remote work must be performed within the state of Iowa. Employees who elect remote work must comply with the requirements of our remote work policy and agreement.
Education Requirements:
Master’s degree in Human Development, Assessment, School Psychology, Educational Psychology, Learning Sciences, or a related field required.
Desirable Qualifications:
Doctoral degree and experience working in a P-12 education environment preferred.
