Job Summary This position will be part of a great team of Assistants, Nursing Staff, Residents and Faculty. You will participate in the clinic care of all types of Oral Surgery Patients including Cancer, TMD, Orthognathic, D entoalveola r, Trauma and others. This clinic is very fast paced and you will not be bored. Responsibilities* Assist in a wide variety of chair-side procedures using the principles of four-handed dentistry in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery / Hospital Dentistry; Assisting both residents, and faculty. Taking preliminary health and physicals prior to treatment, take vitals, prepare consents, and prepare patient for treatment. Render immediate medical assistance in emergency medical situations. Provide the patient with postoperative instructions. Coordinate and maintain the inventory, ordering and distribution of dental supplies, instruments and equipment. Expose and develop radiographs according to standard procedures or specific instructions. Clean, disinfect, and arrange work surfaces, storage cabinets, sinks and dispensing areas. Coordinate the proper maintenance and set-up of dental equipment and operatories. Will maintain strict infection control policy and procedure Prepare and participate in Joint Commission protocols and visits. Required Qualifications*

Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.
