About The Job:
City Light Capital is seeking an energetic, passionate, and intellectually curious Analyst to join our investment team. This position is ideal for someone early in their career who is passionate about venture capital, entrepreneurship, and impact investing. City Light Capital is looking for a team member who can learn and adapt quickly to a fast-moving start-up environment and would be able to take on multiple projects at the same time.
The position will be based out of our office in New York City.
Key Responsibilities:
Review startup business plans for potential alignment with the City Light investment thesis.
Support partners with due diligence of potential venture capital investments
Conduct market research on City Light’s three sectors of interest (health care, education, and climate)
Help create quarterly financial reports and annual impact reports for investors.
Financial modeling
Help the team effectively manage/track large seed portfolio (including portfolio onboarding)
Assist portfolio companies with research related to business development
Manage internal databases of deal opportunities and relevant relationships
Requirements
Ideal Qualifications
:
Strong academic record and excellent critical thinking, analytical, research, and communication skills
1-2 years of relevant work experience
Familiarity with reading company financial statements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated passion for City Light’s mission
Ability to work with cutting-edge tech

Compensation will be considered on an individual basis, looking at items like experience. The total compensation range for this position is anticipated to be between $85,000 and $115,000.
