2+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist
Must have experience with Insurance Verification
Must have experience with Pre-authorizations
Must have experience with Scheduling
Must have excellent skills in communication, listening, customer service and organization
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multi-task
Ability to work accurately and efficiently
Be dependable and work well as a team
DUTIES:
Registers new patients with complete and accurate demographics according to procedure
Verifies patient’s insurance eligibility and benefits at each visit
Updates patients’ charts so that the information is entered correctly
Scans documents into the electronic medical record as directed.
Completes work daily to compile missing demographic and insurance information for billing purposes
Obtain prior authorizations for care
Answer phones taking patient demographic information
Other duties as assigned
