About the Role
With an everchanging landscape, tax is more important than ever. The Silicon Labs executive team greatly values the tax team’s feedback when making decisions and planning for the future. Whether it’s communicating financial results to shareholders or determining how to structure an acquisition, individuals in executive, legal and finance will look to tax for their guidance and expertise in the tax realm.
Reporting to the Domestic Senior Tax Manager, this position will be responsible for managing various federal, state and local tax matters for Silicon Laboratories Inc. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Preparation of workpapers for quarterly ASC 740 tax provision
Preparation of federal and state tax return workpapers and tax returns
Assistance with R&D tax credit calculations and documentation
Preparation of federal and state estimated tax calculations
Preparation of sales & use tax calculations and returns
Preparation of various federal and state information returns (Forms 1099, etc.)
Assistance with property tax renditions and forecasts
Assistance with tax audit responses
Assistance with Canadian federal and provincial income tax and indirect tax compliance
Manage US and Canada tax calendar
Research, assess, and document federal and state tax issues and propose tax solutions to management
Provide support for tax planning, forecasting and special projects
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting/tax , Master’s degree preferred
CPA preferred
2-5 years of relevant Corporate Tax experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work overtime, as needed
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Knowledge of SAP, SAP Business Planning & Consolidation, ONESOURCE tax applications and/or Alteryx is a plus

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $70,000 – $130,000 USD. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location where work will be performed and applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus, equity package and a comprehensive benefits package.
