*Role and Responsibilities*
* Apply customer payment (cash, credit card and online) against outstanding invoices to ensure accuracy of customer accounts
* Oversee Accounts Receivable team and provide coached, oversight, and direction as needed
* Act as a first point of contact in the escalation process to mitigate concerns with customer payments and/or collections
* Schedule workflow by prioritizing and assigning tasks to ensure deliverables are met
* Process daily deposits
* Provide accurate and timely reporting to Executive Team
* Complete customer renewals and prepayments
* Process customer adjustments
* Generate customer statements and letters
* Communicate with Branches to resolve customer inquiries or improperly documented payment submissions
* Prepare and maintain control schedules
* Manage overdue receivables with all operating branches
* Follow up on delinquent customers by phone and email
* Process the bad debt accounts and forward to collection agency or small claims court
* All other tasks as deemed by business needs and management.
*What kind of person are we looking for? Someone with:*
* Ability to process high volumes timely and accurately
* Strong attention to detail
* Customer service skills
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs
* Ability to successfully manage the accounts receivable team
* Provide direction, coaching, development, and leadership to Accounts Receivable team
* Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally.
* Accounting degree or course work in related field highly preferred or equivalent work experience
* 5+ years of related experience
* Must be authorized to lawfully work in the U.S.
