Position Summary
This position will collaborate in developing and implementing a residency model program as part of the TeachUp Indigenous Teacher Preparation Program within the college’s Teacher Education/TeachUp program. The program goal will be to support and create a strong university-district-agency partnership between the Teacher Education Department at San Juan College, and school districts throughout New Mexico. This position will conduct field observations of students, lead meetings with student residents and school-based personnel, attend program design team meetings and provide general supervision support to student residents and co-teachers. Position is a grant position and is subject to grant approval and criteria.

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
The Senior Director of Teacher Education assigns work in terms of coursework taught, advisories needed, committee support and curriculum development. The supervisor spot-checks in process and completed work for compliance with established procedures.
GUIDELINES
Guidelines include New Mexico Public Education Department Residency requirements, InTASC Model Core Teaching Standards, NM Elevate Domain Standards, safety guidelines, and college and program policies and procedures according to the academic sequence and advising office. These guidelines require judgment, selection, and interpretation in application.
