How You’ll Perform the Role
The SVP of Corporate Development is the key support role in the execution of The Company’s M&A and inorganic growth strategies. The position will be deeply involved in portfolio optimization including coordination of acquisition, divestiture and joint venture transactions as well as supporting the strategic planning process. The position is highly visible, working with all levels of the global organization including all corporate and divisional executive leaders as well as with the PE Group. Reports directly to the Chairman and CEO.
The SVP will spend his/her time in several key subject matter areas:
Transaction Execution (all aspects of M&A and JV activities)
Strategy and Strategic Advisory
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
Talent and Process Development
What We Need From You
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA and relevant accreditations preferred.
10+ years of post-graduate experience in investment banking, private equity or corporate development function.
Exposure to paper, plastics, consumer packaging or related industrial segments (including basic or specialty materials or specialty manufacturing).
Extensive network of contacts in related or adjacent industries.
Global experience – have executed transactions in other global regions or have lived and worked in other global regions.
Direct leadership of small and moderate teams of financial or strategic professionals.
Excellent analytical, critical thinking and presentation skills.
PE Experience
Independent ability to prepare M&A financial models analyzing potential investments.
