The role will develop and maintain analysis related to the operational activities of the Greater Charlotte Market (GCM), including (but not limited to) functioning as a liaison to a particular subset of clinics, departments or service line(s), preparation of financial statements, review of department or provider productivity, proforma or benchmarking analyses related to new providers, services, efficiencies or capital expenditures, facilitation of annual budgets and various month end close responsibilities.
The items below represent many of the most common processes associated with this position. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below:
Development, maintenance and improvement of financial analysis identifying areas for optimization related to clinical/departmental productivity, often through the use of reporting and benchmarking to gauge performance.
Review, interpretation, analysis, and presentation of analysis to constituents (executives, administrators, department/service line leaders, physicians, clinic administrators etc.). Strong organizational and commutation skill are essential given the need to often convey financial concepts and data to end users outside of finance.
Identification, quantification, and assistance in prioritizing initiatives for financial, utilization, and/or resource management improvement. Creation of ad hoc financial/benchmark analysis to assist executive and departmental decision making related to cost containment or incremental revenue generation.
Collaboration with and training of departmental managers and executive management in order to maximize data analysis findings.
Analysis of new business development opportunities (JVs, acquisitions, etc.).
Preparation of annual budget as needed.
Administer physician compensation models.
Qualifications:
Education: 4 year Bachelors Degree- Required (Business, Finance or Accouting)
Experience: 2 years Healthcare experience preferred
Licensure/Certification: None

Analytical skills: must be able to absorb large amounts of data, reaching sound business conclusions without getting “analysis paralysis”;
Advanced data manipulation and Microsoft Excel skills: comfort and competency working with complex/integrated financial models;
General business knowledge and resourcefulness; candidate must possess aptitude and acumen necessary to leverage resources across functions of an organization to collect information or develop solutions to problems where definitive answers may not exist;
Excellent communication skills: must be adept at presenting his/her ideas or recommendations orally and in writing;
Strong interpersonal skills, highly professional demeanor and proven ability to develop and foster strong working relationships;
High energy level: someone who understands the urgency of meeting the organization’s needs; a sleeve-up style that is comfortable doing and delegating
