The Massachusetts General Hospital Pulmonary Associates Clinic is committed to providing our patients with the highest quality care by supporting them, their families, and their care providers.
The Pulmonary Associates Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is a member of a team (or “pod”) that provides care to a panel of outpatients. Each pod consists of three to five physicians and one NP/PA. The NP/PA is a registered, professional nurse with certification in an expanded role or a licensed Physician Assistant who, in collaboration with the physician team, is responsible for diagnosing, prescribing treatments, and providing follow-up for patients. The NP/PA will function both as an independent provider providing direct care and as a clinical support providing indirect care.
The incumbent will have an interest in:
Significant experience in nursing or as a PA required, and prior experience working as Nurse Practitioner is preferred if applying as an NP. The ideal candidate will have Pulmonary related experience as an NP/PA or RN.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required
Master’s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant degreerequired

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be comfortable speaking with patients and families, and be able to work well with a team.
The candidate must have broad medical knowledge and be an innovative thinker who is excited by the opportunity to play a key role in developing a new outpatient pulmonary care structure that will make a true difference in the lives of patients.
EXPERIENCE:
At least one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant preferred
