Northwell Health’s Department of Medicine is seeking a Board-Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician to support their team on a part time basis in Elmont, NY. This is exciting time to join the Department of Medicine as it continues to expand and grow throughout Northwell Health. Candidates that are bilingual in Spanish are highly preferred.
The Department of Family Medicine was formally created in April 2011. The department comprises of four residency programs located at Glen Cove Hospital, Plainview Hospital, Peconic Bay Medical Center, and Phelps Memorial. There are multiple community health centers and sites in which our residents train, with almost 500 family medicine physicians who practice in both ambulatory and inpatient sites as well as administrative and academic roles across the region caring for patients of all ages across the continuum of health.
Family Medicine strives to improve the health of the communities it serves and is committed to providing the highest quality clinical care; educating the current and future generations of health care professionals in family medicine; searching for new advances in medicine through the conduct of bio-medical research; promoting health education; and caring for the entire community. We strive to administratively provide the infrastructure that allows us to deliver outstanding care; academically and clinically maintain excellence in clinical care, research, and education. As a team we work to ensure outstanding patient experiences along the continuum of care in the ambulatory, inpatient and home settings.
