The Johns Hopkins University (JHU) School of Education (SOE) invites applications for a promotion-track, open rank STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Teacher Education Faculty Member. We are seeking a dynamic, experienced STEM Teacher Educator who will play a crucial role in shaping the future of education by supporting and developing current and aspiring STEM teachers in a new Master of Education for Teaching Professionals program. Candidates will help design and implement an innovative teacher training program, while providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development to STEM educators. These efforts will directly impact the quality of STEM education and inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers. Applications will be accepted immediately. This faculty position is housed within the Department of Innovative Teaching and Leadership. Primary responsibilities include teaching, curriculum development, teacher training, technology integration, educational research, and collaboration within the School of Education and across the university and broader community. The proposed program supports SOE’s mission to generate?knowledge to?inform policy and practice and educate?society to address the most important challenges faced by individuals, schools, and communities.
The Master of Education for Teaching Professionals will prepare candidates to become secondary STEM educators for grades 7-12 classrooms. The program addresses teaching holistically by developing professional educators who:

The School of Education has two faculty tracks: one focused on research and one focused on teaching and program development. This position is open to candidates with either focus.
