The R&D Tech Manager, Agile Facilitation is accountable for contributing within and across product teams in enabling the Laboratory Digital & Tech department in the successful delivery of a product backlog for a complex product or a group of products. This role will support teams by ensuring best practice in software delivery, reporting value generated, tracking budgets, and management of a team of facilitators.
The Manager, Agile Facilitation’s responsibilities include some of the following:
Enabling Delivery from Product Teams: In collaboration with Product Directors agree and implement product delivery strategies that provide appropriate planning and tracking of work needed to deliver agreed value in the defined time. Foster a “learn by doing” team culture and drive relentless improvement. Ensure collaboration to drive and deliver clearly measurable business value.
Team Management: Onboard and manage a team of agile facilitators, made up of a mix of full-time employees and contract workers. Ensure a consistent, high-quality approach to facilitation across the department by working with peers to agree and adopt best practices for facilitation and team management. Product Backlog: facilitate creation and maintenance of the strategic roadmap for Laboratory Digital & Tech. Oversee and maintain alignment with product backlog data in product boards. Ensure content is accurate and fit for purpose (ex: ready for execution, available for reporting to governance boards, etc)
Best Practices: Liaise with Quality, Engineering and Design organization as well as other partner organizations (ex: Compliance, Portfolio, Established Products, Finance) to adopt and embed standards and best practices across the product teams. Influence others including those more senior on best practices.
Strategy Alignment: Understand the strategic direction as it relates to team goals, ensuring strategy and delivery alignment at the product/product family level.
People Management: Provide guidance, support and direction to the team facilitators. Develop self and support others’ development to achieve full potential. May directly line manage team facilitators.
Operations management: support Product Directors and Product Owners with operational activities at the Product/Product Family level (ex: financial management/reporting, risk log management, resource dependencies)
Facilitate Laboratory Digital & Tech Leadership Team meetings, including setting clear agendas, tracking actions, advising on team efficiency.
Serve as a Chief of Staff for Laboratory Digital & Tech, working closely with the Head to build a culture and communications structure to support staff in being aligned to the mission and connected to others in the organization. Champion staff development and departmental learning.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Bachelor’s degree – Computer Science or related bachelor’s degree (Technical Degree eg Engineering, Information Technology)
Five years relevant experience in previous employment.
In-depth experience of Agile process and principles.
SCRUM or SAFe certifications
Experience in working in an IT product related industry, with experience in IT software analysis, design or delivery.
Track record in delivering business impact through process and Tech enabled solutions
Experience in relationship management
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a Pharmaceutical Research & Development setting
