What you will do:
Use your communication, innovation, and relationship-building skills to execute data initiatives across the Empower business
Lead a large, matrixed team of data professionals responsible for deep analysis and presentation of key analytics
Refine our data technology stack and identify best-in-class solutions for the future. Experience unifying large teams to deploy new solutions (technologies, vendors, tools) while sunsetting others as part of mergers and acquisitions is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
Oversees the operations of one or more major departments or functions.
Oversees and develops long-term strategic planning for multiple work units, and participates in overall systems strategic planning processes.
Accountable for the performance of assigned areas in enabling the organization to meet its objectives.
Executes IT strategy through department directors, managers and staff.
Designs and deploys department structures and teams to effectively accomplish deliverables within budget and according to company standards.
Determines project workload for team(s) under the direction of senior leadership.
Prioritizes and schedules projects.
Executes deliverables through subordinate managers and ensures projects are completed on time and within predefined requirements and budgets.
Communicates high level projects status to key stakeholders and makes adjustments as necessary.
Accountable for team performance within assigned projects.
Develops and monitors budgets for department or work units.
Responsible for all budget aspects for multiple work units.
Estimates staffing needs and schedules and assigns projects/work for the department.
Makes decisions on pay, performance, appraisals, work schedules, discipline and hiring.
Has ability to significantly modify the major or most significant policies and processes.
Has the latitude to make decisions affecting long-term operational results.
Licensing Required:
FINRA Series 99 license required
*Candidates who do not have a Series 99 license will be required to obtain one within their first 90-days on the job

What will set you apart:
Experience with Alteryx, SAS, Tableau, and AWS
Minimum twelve (12) years relevant systems experience including at least six (6) years experience directly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience.
Master’s degree in related systems or business field is strongly desired.

The salary range below describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Base Salary Range
$ 162,700.00-235,975.00
