Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division is currently hiring for a Director of Finance. This position is a hybrid work model and is based out of the Moon Township, PA facility. What you’ll do:
The Director of Finance is the division controller and leader of the finance organization for the Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) division. This position provides overall strategic vision for the finance function within the EESS division (2022 sales: $512M). Responsibilities include acting as a strategic business partner to fuel growth objectives, driving process improvements within the finance organization, creating and implementing policies and procedures to improve the control environment, and provide increased transparency of results.
This position will lead the divisional consolidation, reporting and analyzing of monthly results, forecasts, and plans. In addition, the position is responsible for leading a team of 10 reports (both direct and indirect) that are focused on business operations management, project risk management and ensuring compliance to corporate financial policies, legal requirements, and GAAP. The position reports directly to the EESS Vice President/General Manager and functionally to the Energy Services and Solutions Group Vice President of Finance.
Essential Functions:
• Provide leadership to the EESS finance organization in conforming to corporate financial policies, legal requirements, and GAAP
• Partner with VP/GM and senior leadership team to develop and implement strategies to grow Division domestically and Engineering Services for Eaton globally.
• Manage month end close, forecasting, annual profit plan, and strategic plan process for the division.
• Analyze operating results and balance sheet elements to determine and recommend profit and/or cash flow improvement opportunities.
• Manage capital spend process for the Division. Includes the evaluation of all EESS capital appropriation requests for proper documentation, calculation and sufficient benefit analysis, monthly progress reporting on status of open projects, coordinating regular forecasting of capital spend and post audit review process.
• Provide leadership to the division finance organization in recruiting, developing and retaining top talent
• Lead implementation of competent financial systems and procedures to comply with GAAP, SOX and corporate policies
• Ensure integrity of financial reporting and compliance with Revenue Recognition policy requirements.
• Perform financial analysis in support of strategic initiatives, capital investments, changing business models, acquisition activity, make vs. buy analysis, pricing models etc.
• Recommend, review and provide input to ES-Americas and Electrical Sector on changes to Financial Policies and Procedures. Lead the development of specific EESS policies where required.
• Provide oversight and assistance to ensure compliance with Government Accounting regulations and standards
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance experience
• Experience in leading a financial organization within a manufacturing or service environment
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States both now and in the future without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration from an accredited institution
• Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Prior experience in managing a geographically dispersed direct and indirect staff
• Demonstrated leadership capability, ability to build and develop teams, excellent communication skills.
• Working knowledge of financial and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
Skills:
Position Criteria
• Working knowledge of sourcing and manufacturing practices and performance measurement followed by Operations personnel
• Ability to operate across, and influence within a complex matrixed organizational structure
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts, including pronouncements of external regulatory bodies such as Financial Accounting Standards Board, SEC, IRS, IASB, etc.
• Broad experience with an internal controls environment including knowledge or GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
