Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Participate in all aspects of the talent acquisition/recruiting process – heavy recruiting
· Collaborate with Department managers to determine level of skill set necessary for open positions
· Assist in partnering with Safety team to deliver new hire orientation for Craft Union Employees
· Completes paperwork for VOE’s and EDD forms as requested
· Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, and professional licensure etc.
· Assist in facilitating local training and compliance training
· Organize, compile, and update employee personnel records with the appropriate documentation in compliance with State and Federal requirements
· Assist HR Manager with employee related investigations requiring fact-finding and the verification of issues. Suggests guidance on matters affecting corrective action measures and prepare documentation
· Assists in facilitating Company initiated events.
· All other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:

· Strong time management skills: ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
· Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to employment and leaves of absences (i.e., discrimination and harassment, wage and hours CFRA, FMLA, ADA, ADAA, etc.).
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
· 3+ years of human resource generalist experience required and recruiting experience preferred.
· Experience facilitating trainings preferred.
· SHRM-CP or PHR (CA) a plus.
· Construction industry experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
