Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for and overseeing the inventory of parts for the Maintenance Department, Sanitation, Fluid Milk Department, and Cooler department. Maintains the Computerized Maintenance Management Software CMMS.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintain the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software)
* Check the status of back-orders frequently to maintain adequate records
* Control inventory in all satellite supply rooms
* Pick up parts from the delivery location and disperse or restock daily
* Be the primary point of contact for Maintenance and Production purchasing requirements
* Enter parts log/parts received transactions daily
* Label all parts/bins with barcode labels
* Conduct weekly cycle counts and monthly physical counts
* Maintain a clean and organized supply room
* Maintain an accurate inventory count
* Identify parts not used or incomplete parts and dispose of them properly
* Confers with Mechanics, Engineer Manager, Maintenance Manager, and other supervisors to coordinate the activities of individual departments.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 6 months experience in a related field.
* Basic Computer skills including creating spreadsheets. Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other database programs.
* Ability to demonstrate a high degree of initiative.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to communicate with others at all levels in organizations.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
* Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays when needed.
* Maintain excellent attendance.
* Must have strong organizational skills.
* Provide support during off-shift hours/days in support of the Maintenance and/or Production Departments in the event of an emergency
* Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
* Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background, and criminal checks).
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
* High school education
* 3 – 5 years experience in manufacturing or equal experience in a related position
* Minimum of 2 years of s work experience in Purchasing required
PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
* Ability to withstand prolonged walking, standing, and sitting
* Ability to withstand changes in temperature – from 40 to 120 as the need arises
* Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
