Our internship program will introduce you to the world of consumer-packaged goods with the goal of cooking up an interest in future career opportunities and allowing you to make an impact in a refuse-to-lose environment. You’ll get to know our iconic brands and understand the importance of our food safety and quality analytical testing programs.
What Can You Expect from Your Internship?
You will be immersed into Conagra Brands and the food safety and quality analytical testing programs for 11 weeks.
Working with us will give you exposure to our food safety and quality testing programs and culture. It will provide insight into our specific programs related to analytical testing, testing methods for nutrition and shelf-life, sensory testing, calibration of laboratory equipment, and creating technical reports. This opportunity will allow for collaboration with other business functions such as R&D, Food Safety, Regulatory, and Quality to help you better understand how this functional area supports our manufacturing plants.
To enhance your overall understanding of our company, we will provide opportunities to network with peers and leaders to gain experience with the scope of career paths available at Conagra Brands.
Specifically, you will have the opportunity to learn about requirements for ISO 17025 (International Organization for Standardization, global quality standard for testing and calibration laboratories). You will develop documents, revise documents, and maintain lab standard operating procedures (SOPs). You will learn to assist with troubleshooting analytical testing and assist with evaluating new methods for nutritional and shelf-life testing. You will work with sensory and oxidation data to develop predictive correlations for accelerated shelf-life determinations. You will gain an understanding of required calibration programs for lab equipment, and you will gain experience preparing technical reports.
