Job Summary
Columbus State University is inviting
applications for part-time faculty pool positions in Teacher Education.
Responsibilities include teaching
undergraduate face-to-face and online education courses (i.e., Investigating Critical & Contemporary Issues in Education, Exploring
Socio-Cultural Contexts on Diversity in Educational, Exploring Learning and Teaching, and Technology for the 21st Century Classroom.). The
face-to-face education classes are offered at Columbus State University River Park Campus, Main Campus, and/or Muscogee County Partnership
Schools in Columbus, Georgia, depending on need.
Application submission to the part-time faculty pool is open to qualified and
competent experts who possess skills, education, and experience in academic and/or professional areas. Applications for part-time faculty
positions will be held in applicant pools, which, based on student enrollment, will be consulted when searching for candidates to fill the
position on a semester-by-semester basis.
Part-time faculty positions offer the opportunity to assist a diverse group of adult
students in achieving their educational goals. Assignments include day (8:00AM- 3:00PM) classes.
Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in the field
of study or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
Teaching experience at public schools (grades P-12)- Teaching
experience at a higher educational level is strongly preferred.
Experience utilizing instructional technologies, including computers,
internet resources, and other appropriate media in instruction.
