Summary
The Payroll/Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of facility payroll through use of Ceridian. The position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the facility’s recruitment and retention strategy. This individual will also play an active role in workforce retention initiatives, including employee appreciation activities, effective onboarding, employee satisfaction surveys, and the promotion of a positive work culture. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator who is able to work with a wide range of individuals. Job Duties:
• Verifying Dayforce timekeeping information
• Entering time records/changes into payroll system
• Maintaining, updating and filing required payroll/personnel forms for all active employees.
• Distributing and reviewing health benefit information for new employees, and collecting benefit related forms and processing accordingly.
• Processing unemployment compensation claims and attending hearings as needed.
• Providing and conducting employment verification with outside organizations in compliance with current policy.
• Actively participates in New Employee Orientation to review current payroll policies and providing benefit information to new hires eligible for such coverage.
• Active involvement in talent acquisition by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process.
• Utilize an applicant tracking system (Dayforce) to manage and document activities related to applicant and hiring flow.
• Identify and cultivate innovative recruitment channels, i.e. school partnerships, clinical rounding opportunities, virtual and in-person job fairs, and community workforce development programs.
Education/Experience:
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Proven experience as HR coordinator, HR assistant, HR generalist or other related HR position
• Knowledge of human resources functions (recruitment, retention, training & development etc.)
• Proficient in MS Office including Excel
• Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
• Associate Degree Required
