Job Description: Local Bakersfield Organization needs a new HR Generalist to join the already growing team ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES ? Partners with employees and management to administer and communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations. Ensures legal and ethical compliance with state and federal laws. ? Conducts investigations on employee issues, interviews workers and discusses with management any human relations and work-related problems that adversely affect morale, health, and productivity. ? Evaluates and assists in resolving human relations, labor relations, and work-related problems, and meets with management to determine appropriate action. ? Responsible for completion and accuracy of all personnel files, including I-9’s. Conducts audits as needed and/or directed. ? Process paperwork and prepare internal communication to Payroll Department and the Field Supervision for Terminations / Resignations. Handle terminations/resignation and present exit paperwork to employee. ? Explains company compensation and benefit programs, such as medical, insurance, retirement, and savings plans, and assists with enrolling workers in specified programs. ? Maintains Human Resource Information System records with accuracy and timeliness. ? Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with management, employees, external agencies and vendors. ? Able to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and professional discretion. ? Able to multi-task, communicate progress and meet deadlines. ? Other projects and duties as assigned by the Corporate HR Manager. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS ? Minimum of two years of previous experience in a HR Generalist role required. General knowledge of HR laws, practices and policies required. ? Construction and/or Oil field knowledge a plus. ? Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources a plus, Business or related field is not required but is preferred for future advancement opportunities’ ? Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal. Comfortable giving presentations to both large and small groups. ? Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Previous experience with HRIS systems and timekeeping systems strongly preferred.
