WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):
This position will perform daily lead functions in the National Molecular Laboratory, a busy CLIA-licensed, AABB-accredited molecular testing laboratory responsible for patient and blood donor testing. Review test results. Participate in problem-solving. Lead QC and preventative maintenance functions. Demonstrate excellent customer service and a positive professional image. Adhere to explicit standard operating procedures and interpret test results following the applicable regulatory requirements. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures, Safety Quality Identity Potency Purity (SQUIPP), regulations outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Clinical Laboratory Information Act (CLIA), and other applicable Federal, state and local regulations. Provide support, development, and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

Pay Information: $32-43/hr

You must be able to stand for long periods of time, repeat the same movements, and use your hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.This job requires the ability to hear and speak clearly. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30pounds. The work environment will consist of moderate noise. The employee must be able to react quickly using hands, fingers, or feet. This job may require the employee to be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out. This position will require the ability to use the stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods of time and the ability to keep or regain the body’s balance or stay upright when in an unstable position. The employee must be able to frequently use oneor two hands to grasp, move or assemble objects.The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle andhave the ability tosit at a computer terminal for an extendedperiod of time.
