Join our extraordinary team! Alpine Immune Sciences is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our growing HR team. This positionwill partner with Alpine leadership and the HR team to deliver services to support effective and efficient operations of Alpine’s Human Resources team. This role will have the opportunity to support recruiting, benefits, leave of absence, and employee relations. This role is responsible for promoting a work environment that exemplifies the company’s mission and values, and support the leaders’ goals to hire, engage, develop, and retain top talent and build the organizational capabilities required for short and long-term business success.
Duties and responsibilities
·Talent Acquisition: responsible for full-cycle recruitment for assigned open positions, including; collaboration with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings, development and updates to job descriptions and specifications, preparation of recruitment materials and posting to appropriate job boards, sourcing, screening and recruiting candidates using databases, networks, etc., screen candidates, facilitating the interviews of candidates, interview team debriefs, and offer extension.
·Onboarding: Coordinate HR related activities including pre-employment screenings and communication to new employees to ensure a smooth and positive experience.
·Benefits: support administration of Alpine benefits which may include health and retirement plans, assisting with annual insurance renewal, open enrollment activities, responding to employee questions, and invoice reconciliation.
·Leave of Absence: support leave of absence including FMLA and multi state leaves accordance with state and federal laws.
·HRIS: maintain HRIS to ensure data integrity, reporting, and infrastructure.
·Safety: participate in the Safety Committee and oversee workers compensation claims.
·Policy Management: including administering/interpreting company policies and assisting HR leadership in employment issues, labor law and employment law compliance related investigations and policy creation.
·Learning and Development: assist with employee training and development programs, employee engagement and communication activities/events.
·Support Alpine’s DEI program by working with HR and Alpine’s leadership on action items.
·Provide excellent customer service and support by responding timely and accurately to employee questions.
·Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
·5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years’ experience in recruitment in a corporate environment
·Industry specific experience preferred, but not required
·Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems
·HR certification a plus
·Working knowledge of multiple Human Resources disciplines, including recruiting, compensation, employee relations, and federal and state employment laws.
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·Ability to function well in a high paced environment while dealing with ambiguity and change
·Strong communication, decision-making and organizational skills with attention to detail and deadlines
·Sound interpersonal skills
·Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, analyze data, and connect the dots
·Strong ethnics and integrity with the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality

At Alpine we engage equitable workplace strategies to ensure fair compensation. Actual compensation is dependent upon current market data, experience, and pay parity within our organization. This position is a Professional level position, with a compensation range of $87,000 – $113,000. In order to be considered for a position, candidates must be located in one of the following five states: CA, MA, NC, OR, or WA.
