AirHelp Looking for Global Director of Business Development (Travel Insurance) at España Full Time

AirHelp has grown to be the global leader supporting air passenger rights, helping travelers get compensation for delayed or canceled flights. We have now reached a point where we are expanding our services with insurance products. For this, we are looking for a world-class Director of Business Development to ramp up our sales work within insurance.

In this role, you will be able to make a huge impact on company revenue streams and utilize your pre-existing strong relations from both the online travel industry and insurance industry on a global scope.

Reports to the Chief Sales Officer.

Location: Barcelona or Berlin

What you’ll do:

• Build relationships with major players in the travel and insurance industry to offer new value for air passengers globally.
• Work closely with a multinational team of professionals across the company, playing a key role in ensuring our business partnerships are satisfactory and beneficial.
• Utilize various platforms to successfully acquire new B2B customers from the industry.
• Proactively participate in various industry events and conferences.
• Enjoy a dynamic and flexible work environment, where you will be expected to be independent and take full charge of the tasks assigned.

Ideally, you’ll bring with you:

• At least 5 years of business development experience in the travel insurance industry.
• Experience in working with Online Traveling Agencies or Travel Management Companies.
• Knowledge of most efficient customer acquisition platforms (e.g. LinkedIn).
• Proven experience in acquiring new customers.
