THE ROLE:
AMD is seeking a highly motivated and talented part-time IT Engineer with knowledge of Python and/or Java frameworks to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or candidate who is in the final year to gain hands-on experience in IT app development while working in a flexible, part-time role.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for technology, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of software applications using Python and/or Java frameworks
- Collaborate with the development team to design, implement, and test new features and functionality
- Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable code
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues
- Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
- Contribute to the improvement of development processes and best practices
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Recent college graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of Python and/or Java programming languages and related frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, Spring, etc.)
- Familiarity with software development principles, data structures, and algorithms
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Eagerness to learn and grow professionally
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
