As Interoperability Test Engineer, you will develop, conduct, and analyze complex EV Charger system tests in our Hardware Test Laboratory located in Richmond, VA and in the field at our customer sites. You’ll have the opportunity to improve our product connectivity, interoperability and standards between vehicle and the charging station to ensure optimal compatibility.

As Interoperability Test Engineer, you will develop, conduct, and analyze complex EV Charger system tests in our Hardware Test Laboratory located in Richmond, VA and in the field at our customer sites. As you write software and build hardware sets, you’ll create, develop and improve chargers and electric vehicle testing profiles. Design tests in the lab or conduct research and analysis in the field; automate and improve interoperability tests . Identify and develop software and hardware hacks and workarounds. Consult with EV manufacturers on proper interpretation of standards to ensure highest level of compatibility with ABB E-mobility’s chargers. Write, improve, and implement EV standards for our Product portfolio.
