Key job responsibilities
The ideal leader will:
* Bring a think big product vision to re-imagine how billing computation can help customers more easily do business with AWS at scale.
* Provide hands-on technical leadership to drive the execution of that vision to delivery, owning geographically dispersed teams that design, build, and operation some of the highest-scale services in the cloud.
* Balance competing priorities from a wide range of stakeholders, and paint a clear path to success along which incremental progress can be made.
* Be a genuinely inclusive leader, who enthusiastically builds and leads a diverse team spanning those multiple development sites (Seattle, New York, London).
* Rise to the challenge of making billing transparent for our customers.
* Have experience scaling at 10X and 100X scale with multiple, often hidden, bottlenecks
* Have experience running high scale cloud solutions driving security and operational health excellence bar.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering (related field), or equivalent work experience
* 7+ years of industry experience growing and managing diverse and deeply talented software development teams.
* 7+ years of experience managing managers and leaders of large geographically distributed organizations and teams of multiple disciplines and job families (development, operations, BI, and/or product management).
*10+ years of experience building and operating complex cloud solutions at scale
* MBA or equivalent background in accounting or finance
* Experience with audited and/or regulated software
* Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
* Strong systems operational skills
* Strong performance and scale engineering fundamentals
* Experience owning the P&L and budget for a high-growth technology business
* Ability to thrive in a start-up-like and enterprise environments

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $264,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $350,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
