The Employer Brand Senior Advisor is responsible for developing Zebra’s strategy for our Employee Value Proposition and corresponding tactics to activate across all touchpoints of the employee lifecycle, internally and externally. By collaborating closely with Marketing, External Communications and Talent Acquisition, they will shape creative and campaign program development and ensure successful execution to establish Zebra as an employer of choice that effectively attracts and retains key talent. This position is responsible for both building and propelling Zebra’s corporate messaging and communications on the employee experience, value proposition alignment, and brand messaging in partnership with Zebra’s Corporate / Brand Marketing team. This role is responsible for involvement with internal and external strategic partners to have input and advance the management of the Zebra’s employer brand and ultimately has a direct hand in shaping and executing the overarching employer brand strategy, in partnership with the Sr Director, Employer Brand and I&D.
Responsibilities:
Partners with Corporate Marketing and Communications to build and advance Employer Value Proposition (EVP) messaging, leveraging social media platforms, partnerships, advertising, and other avenues as appropriate.
Works with employees and Senior Leadership to build Zebra’s purpose, imbed within our EVP and company values
Collaborates with our Talent Management and Organization Development team to develop and execute change and culture management initiatives related to Employer / Employee Value Proposition.
Works with leaders to embed EVP messaging of employee experiences and showcase authentically through internal and external channels.
Advances employer brand by leading the creation and implementation of internal and external brand content and campaigns, working in close partnership with Talent Acquisition, Marketing, and external agencies.
Partners closely with Talent Acquisition to develop and effectively activate meaningful collateral to be used in the global recruitment process and ensure messaging resonates with prospective employees in key talent segments. Partners with regional teams to adapt, as needed, to appropriately reflect local nuances.
Creates Zebra’s formal Brand Ambassador program to ensure employees across the organization are empowered to serve as effective brand stewards, equipped with meaningful content to leverage in their broader networks and communities.
Builds and develops a framework for key performance indicators of employee brand, including employee engagement, company recognition, candidate experience, recruiting yield, employee retention as well as brand recognition and familiarity, with other drivers of awareness and preference.
Creates engaging, differentiated and emotionally compelling content to share through brand channels, including website and blog features, social media content, digital marketing campaigns and more
Executes the new workstreams/enhancements on the EVP roadmap by working with internal Centers of Excellence to improve individual tactics and create new programs as warranted. This could include elements such as testing out ideas or example enhancements with internal customers, working with Talent Acquisition or operational teams to address and improve candidate or employee experience moments or materials, researching new programs, benefits, or offerings to enhance our tangible package elements, and tracking the progress of the suite of elements with data
In partnership with team and functional leadership, helps shape programs to execute on the EVP roadmap and workstreams, partnering with cross-functional teams, recommending adjustments, and tracking and monitoring progress and success
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
12 + years with broad-based HR or Recruitment or Communications/Marketing experience and track record of increased responsibility required.
Advanced communication capabilities both written and oral.
Ability to build and manage relationships.
Strong ability to lead matrixed teams and influence without direct authority
Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to deliver against a project plan.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Demonstrated experience in the development of communications and messaging strategy with deep commitment to quality and detail.
Proven ability to work with and lead multiple stakeholders and teams in a global organization while balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced business environment.
Experience in employee value proposition and principles of brand strategy, communication, and execution.
Strong understanding of human resources priorities and principles.
Creative, self-driven and resourceful with high energy level and “can-do” attitude.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to anticipate needs and take decisive action.
Exemplary communications skills (both written and oral) including strong copywriting and editing skills.
Understanding and experience in applying project management principles and ROI methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate ambiguity and build strategic plans
Global and technology experience preferred.
Prior experience with full life cycle recruiting a plus
Knowledge of and experience leveraging social media as a marketing/communication vehicle a plus.
5+ years of integrated marketing and digital campaign experience, with focus on social media marketing
5+ years of experience in creative content creation
5+ years of editing experience
Knowledge of social trends, and experience creating content
Experience in creative storytelling
Experience marketing to diverse audiences in an authentic way that produced measurable results
Utilizing audience insights, create global diversity employer brand narratives, proof points and supporting messages for use in brand and marketing campaigns
10% travel to conferences and career fairs
Able to work a hybrid schedule out of Lincolnshire, IL
