We’re searching for a Human Resources Business Partner who has a broad knowledge of human resources functions that enable them to perform a diverse set of responsibilities. This role will oversee personnel and support our Human Resources Department and ensure smooth and efficient daily business operations. This HR Business Partner will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping us to plan and administer important functions and processes, such as talent management, employee relations, total rewards, regulatory compliance, policies, and practices. This leader should also be able to transform all processes and policies into executable plans and department procedures.
*Objectives of the Role: *
* Partner and collaborate with the Director Human Resources and leadership team to understand and to execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, retention, and succession planning
* Participate and assist in executing in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements
* Assist in administering benefits, payroll and compensation, and other total rewards
* Assist in building and executing learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees
* Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve the efficiency of the HR department and organization, and to improve the employee experience
* Ensure legal compliance with HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required
* Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations
* Ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships with the leadership team and all levels of the company to provide a high level of customer service to all
*Job Responsibilities: *
* Use HR software to manage enrollment of employee benefits, all functions of talent acquisition and talent management, upkeep of compliance and data/reporting analytics, etc.
* Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings while collaborating and partnering with the HR team/Talent Acquisition Leader
* Handle all administrative tasks and paperwork for pre-employment, onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience and enter data into HR information systems and audit for accuracy and compliance
* Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employment-related matters which include compensation, benefits and absence, time away, productivity, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters
* Coordinate employee performance management (90-day, annual evaluations, and disciplinary action), development plans, and recommend strategies to motivate employees
* Coordinate employee engagement surveys and give actionable insights to improve employee’s experience
* Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
* Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
* Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in all functions of human resources
* Assess reports provided by the HR team, supervisors, and managers to determine employee performance and training needs
* Perform various other human resources duties and functions
*Requirements: *
* Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
* Minimum of 7 years experience in a human resources role
* Desired certification in PHR or SPHR
* Additional human resources training or experience is a plus
* Knowledge of human resources compliance and federal and state laws and regulations
* Thorough knowledge of human resources procedures and policies
* Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and human resources software which includes the ability to learn and be proficient in HRIS and talent management systems
* Strong knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Teams, etc)
* Efficient HR administration and people management skills
* Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team
* Attention to detail and analytically driven with strong organizational skills
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work and urgent needs
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Ability to handle sensitive information with a strict level of confidentiality
* Strong empathy, and interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
* Ability to multitask and to adapt in a fast-paced environment
* Experience in a high-growth startup environment a plus
