ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

$10K Bonus Included!

Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration effectiveness and re-assessment, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical and psycho-social care.

Documents patient care given.

Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Completes APEX and other applicable training within identified timeframe.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education
Associates Degree – Required (Current licensure as a Registered Nurse will be sufficient proof of education. Bachelors Degree preferred.

Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Ability to quickly learn how to navigate multiple complex software systems
Must be able to communicate with the ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Must be able to successfully complete Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire

Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS – AHA within 60 days of hire);
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 60 days of hire;
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 60 days of hire;
Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) – Preferred

Licenses:
State of KY Current unrestricted RN license

Minimum Work Experience
One Year previous Emergency Department experience
