The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States. Almost 2,600 students are enrolled in the School’s graduate and undergraduate programs, and in the last academic year, 801 degrees were awarded. All ECE undergraduate and graduate programs are in the top five of the most recent college rankings by U.S. News & World Report.
In addition to the main campus in Atlanta, Georgia, ECE also has permanent operations at Georgia Tech-Lorraine in France and Georgia Tech-Shenzhen in China. Graduate students who spend at least one semester each at three Georgia Tech locations (Atlanta, Lorraine, and Shenzhen on three continents-North America, Europe, and Asia) can earn the Georgia Tech Global Engineering Immersion Program (GEIP) Certificate when they receive the Georgia Tech M.S. degree.
Over 110 ECE faculty members are involved in 11 areas of research and education – bioengineering, computer systems and software, digital signal processing, electrical energy, electromagnetics, electronic design and applications, nantechnology, optics and photonics, systems and controls, telecommunications, and VLSI systems and digital design – and the School is either home to or a key player in almost 20 research centers and consortia.

Proactively and strategically support a variety of efforts and programs related to the development of a new campus initiative supporting interdisciplinary research in neuroscience and neurotechnology. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Faculty leadership, GT staff supporting interdisciplinary research, and external partners.
This position typically will advise and counsel: Faculty leadership and staff. This position will supervise: N/A.
Job Duty 1 –
Manage and coordinate multiple programs and projects as assigned in support of the initiative. Provide project coordination, progress tracking, committee support, and event planning, as assigned
Job Duty 2 –
Provide planning, logistics, and implementation of events involving internal and external stakeholders
Job Duty 3 –
Provide general administrative program support including scheduling, travel arrangements, expense reimbursements, file management, meeting coordination, budgeting, proposal preparation, proposal review coordination, and procurement activities. As primary administrative contact, review and resolve complex administrative questions and issues
Job Duty 4 –
Collect, review, and analyze data for reports, presentations, and correspondence. Maintain data on programs and prepare reports and presentations, as necessary. Advise and assist in creating communications, presentations, and reports, as directed. Research and develop materials in preparation for visits, conferences, meetings, etc.
Job Duty 5 –
Represent unit at meetings and functions and coordinate external visits, as needed. Attend internal and external college, campus, and department meetings and events related to assigned projects and events, general administrative duties, or other staff meetings as scheduled
Job Duty 6 –
Prepare correspondence for the initiative, which may include origination of initial drafts, reviewing, proof-reading, editing, and formatting as necessary to ensure quality, accuracy and consistency. Maintain, update, and monitor files, documents, databases, records and resource information
Job Duty 7 –
Perform other related duties as assigned
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Five to seven years of job-related experience
ABILITIES
Proven ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines. Ability to establish effective working relationships to successfully accomplish objectives. Expert in working independently and in a team environment. Ability to learn and apply new software skills.
SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail with decision-making skills to respond to high-pressure situations. Strong proficiency in using MS Office Suite and project management tools. Excellent customer service skills with proven knowledge of how to work effectively and professionally with all levels of internal and external customers.

Salary range: $60,846 – $82,750
