The Education Department at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise (UVA Wise) in Wise, Virginia, invites applications for a full-time (9-month) tenure-track position at the assistant professor level, starting August 2023.
Preference will be given to candidates who articulate a clear understanding of UVA Wise’s public liberal arts mission and who express specific interest and have experience in the mentoring of students.
The UVA Wise Education Department is a small department where faculty work together closely in a collaborative and supportive environment. Faculty are expected to work together on projects such as accreditation reports, curriculum planning, clinical faculty training, advising, and other projects. Salary is negotiable and is based on experience and other achievements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
