Primary Purpose |
The Financial Aid Counselor II evaluates and makes independent decisions on financial aid applications, regularly exercises independent judgment in analyzing student/parent financial aid external documents, determines eligibility for financial assistance, and determines appropriate financial aid for special programs, as assigned, utilizing their comprehensive knowledge of federal, state and university regulations, guidelines and policies. Provides in-depth counseling and advising to students and parents regarding financial aid eligibility, procedures, federal and state government regulations and college financing options for the purpose of retention and recruitment. Financial Aid Counselor II works independently with minimal supervision and directly assists Financial Aid Counselor I staff with their counseling duties. |
