An Off-Campus Work-Study Position
SUMMARY
Under general supervision or direction, to perform a
variety of journey level professional and technical duties involved in
programming and system integration support for current and future technologies
introduced at NMSL; to investigate and recommend new and state of the art
computer applications, systems and programs; and to work with customers to
develop new or custom features to software products and services; and to
provide highly technical assistance to the Manager of Technology Development.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
Exercises no supervision.
EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Primary Duties
Design, develop, modify, document, and test computer
systems or programs, including prototypes.
Research and recommend new technologies designed to
increase organizational productivity, decrease costs, or that provide strategic
value to the organization.
Consult with users to identify changing needs or
problems; determine hardware and software needs and assess system performance.
Perform systems analysis functions to include
troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Recommend technology standards and best-in-class
practices.
Provide programming and system integration services to
support current and future systems at NMSL.
Secondary Duties
Support the implementation of
technology solutions in business and systems applications.
Stay current with and participate in FFELP industry
technology initiatives
Provide training to staff as to
the use of new technology architectures, platforms, and programming techniques.
Provide service desk support. This includes provide providing resolution to
minor trouble tickets relating to PC, application, network support.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Experience as a software developer using .NET
& C#.
Education:
Associates Degree in Computer Science or related
field from an accredited college or university.
License or Certificate:
Possession of, or ability to
obtain, an appropriate, valid driver’s license.
Special Requirements:
Essential duties require the following physical skills and work
environment:
Ability to work in a standard
office environment including ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel,
crouch, stoop, squat, twist, and
lift 25 lbs.; ability to travel to different sites and locations.
