Responsibilities
Write, edit and manage content for communication channels (65%)
Assist with writing and coordinating digital content (social media, electronic newsletter, special events) and paper publications (biannual magazine) around TRC engagement strategies.
Monitor and evaluate success of communication strategies to impact future strategies
Provide internal graphic support and digital content management (create simple graphics, video editing, manage the photo and video library)
Coordinate with TRC’s development team for communications around donor engagement and stewardship and annual fundraising campaigns and special campaign needs
Liaison with the CVM communications team to coordinate/manage communication projects
Manage TRC website (10%)
Maintain an up-to-date website for TRC, within the content and structure with the University of Minnesota guidelines.
Digital marketing (15%)
Develop and implement digital marketing plans for public offerings/events such as webinars, training courses, and in-person events
Coordinate media relations for TRC (10%)
Media relations – manage media, monitor coverage, and prepare summaries for fundraising and administration
Other duties as assigned
Required:
BA/BS degree or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years
Experience prioritizing multiple assignments and managing deadlines simultaneously
Experience drafting and editing correspondence
Demonstrated advanced writing skills (formatting, proper composition, grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc.)
Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic video editing software – Ability to create word processing documents, spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations
Excellent customer service and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work independently and effectively with others; demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
Preferred:
Graphic design and/or advanced video editing experience
College degree in communications, business or related field
Experience with donor relations
Experience in database management
Experience with media relations
