Who We Are Health Information Technology & Services (HITS) plays an integral role in the success of Michigan Medicine by providing clinicians, educators, researchers, students, and staff with exceptional technology-related information, products, services, and support. The HITS Enterprise Infrastructure (EI) division secures, manages, and architects Michigan Medicine data centers, networks, and communication infrastructures. The team is responsible for all Michigan Medicine IT-related technical infrastructure, including data centers and communication facilities; wired, wireless, and in-house cellular networks; spectrum management; communication; audio visual services, complex device management; fiber/wiring plant; hosting; directories, databases, and storage; and continuity of operations institution-wide. The team collaborates with partners across Michigan Medicine to assure the security, stability, reliability, scalability, and economic management of the institution’s technology infrastructure. Job Summary The Network and Communication Support Services team within the Enterprise Infrastructure division is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our team to help design, implement, and maintain our wired and wireless network in an enterprise 24×7 environment. You will have an extensive Cisco switch and router background, and wireless experience supporting Cisco wireless technology. You will have excellent knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, and routing, along with a solid understanding of DHCP and DNS. You may also have equivalent experience with Juniper Networks or Aruba Wireless. Work Schedule This position is being offered as a Hybrid position. There will be times when it will be appropriate for you to work from home. There will be other times that you will be required to work onsite for meetings, installations, and commissioning. This position will be 30-50% remote work. Will require some work during non-business hours and on weekends. Work Locations May require travel to various locations on and off the university campus and throughout southeast Michigan.
