Opportunity
To join a growing, vibrant Ambulatory Psychiatric Services in a leading Academic Medical Center, providing state-of-the-art, empirically grounded psychopharmacological and psychotherapeutic care in a regional center of excellence. The focus of this position is providing high-quality care directly to patients with depressive disorders and those with cancers and co-morbid mental health concerns. As needed, candidates may also be assigned to general psychiatric evaluation clinics and/or a variety of specialty programs for which training will be provided. We strongly support ongoing education and skill development.

Responsibilities*
Provides specialized psychiatric services to individuals and their families. The successful candidate for this position will be part of a multidisciplinary team composed of psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing, social worker, and case managers. Promotes a safe and healthful environment through compliance with regulatory standards and other measures. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of evidence-based interventions and trends.

Hours: 40 hours per week, weekdays with some flexibility for evenings.
The schedule is subject to change based on the clinical and operational demands where the employee practices.

Union Affiliation
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
Background Screening
