The Program in Trauma at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, and the Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine, is recruiting for a junior faculty position in Trauma Infectious Diseases.
The R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center is a worldwide leader in trauma care, and the heart of Maryland’s unique Emergency Medical Services system. It is the busiest trauma center in the United States. The Trauma Infectious Disease Division is a key part of the multidisciplinary effort. The Program has a long history of groundbreaking clinical research. The Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine is a robust clinical medicine, clinical research, and educational enterprise diverse in nature with a commitment to providing excellent patient care and educational opportunities for all faculty and staff.
Requirements include: 1) Current or previous board certification in Internal Medicine and board certification/board eligibility in Infectious Diseases. 2) Must be eligible for a Maryland medical license.
Academic rank will be commensurate with training and experience. Individuals must have demonstrated excellence in clinical medicine and teaching and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
