Summary of Job Duties:The purpose of this position in the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology is to coordinate, perform, and oversee a wide variety of educational support activities for the department Chair, as well as other faculty, staff, and graduate students. This position is responsible for coordinating special events, seminar series, special projects, and ensuring the department educational activities operate smoothly. The position will also work directly with the Graduate Program Director to assist graduate students in obtaining MS, PhD, or MD/ PhD degrees.
The position also backs up department procurement activities and coordinates travels for faculty & staff in accordance with UAMS travel regulations. This position is part of the department administrative team and will be expected to participate as a team member in ensuring all department activities are completed. The duties of the position contribute in the effort to further the mission of UAMS to improve health and healthcare in Arkansas.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education, computing or related field plus 3 years’ experience coordinating education programs required
Additional Information:
5% Job Duty 7 –
Prepare and distribute dissertation/thesis announcements for graduating students. Order food for reception and submitting invoice for payment. Prepare paperwork to mail out dissertation/thesis to be bound.
10% Other duties as assigned.
Salary Information:
Based on HR Compensation determination.
