Position Highlights | This position will support the large (>150 students) graduate program and related aspects within the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry (CBC). We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, organized, and experienced professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency with spreadsheets/data analysis, web page and presentation design, and UAccess. A strong focus on student success, maintaining confidentiality of student records, and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and faculty are key elements of this position. Successful applicants must demonstrate a high regard for their fiduciary responsibilities, as purchasing and reimbursement are in the purview of this position. This position will also be responsible to provide general support for the CBC front office, which may include: -Communications to internal and external stakeholders via email, website updates, newsletters, announcements, flyers, and other types of multi-media presentations. -Creating and updating departmental files, databases, and reports pertaining to alumni, donors, awards, and others as necessary. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Proficiency in use of spreadsheets and presentation software. Must be able to perform basic spreadsheet calculations and data analysis. Experience with web page design is a plus. Ability to communicate effectively with different groups, including students, staff, and faculty.
