In addition to meeting the basic requirements, you must have at least one full year of specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to the next lower grade level.
GS-12 – Applicants Must Possess At Least One Year Of Specialized Experience Equivalent To The GS-11 Level In The Federal Service. Examples Of Specialized Experience Include
National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. Education
This position does have a positive education requirement. You must provide your transcripts to verify your education. If you are including education on your resume, report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
