Join the HJF Team!
The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF’s support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals.
HJF is seeking a Project Manager II to drive successful completion of key deliverables and stated objectives for a single project or multiple non-integrated projects.
The HELP Project Manager will support the National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health (NCDMPH), a center of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU). This position will predominately support the execution of the Health Emergencies in Large Populations (HELP) course and the position is located at the Center for Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance (CFE-DM) in Honolulu, HI. The HELP Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle of the HELP course, which convenes annually in Oahu, HI and aims to enhance professionalism of humanitarian assistance during acute and protracted crisis situations of armed conflict, natural disasters and major disease outbreaks. The HELP course is attended by military and civilian personnel from over 14 different countries in the Indo-Pacific region, and it remains a key component of the US out-reach effort to that important region. In addition to executing the annual HELP course, the project manager will also support other ad-hoc education and training initiatives with NCDMPH and CFE-DM.
